Operating from a high-temperature bulb arrangement within the sauna to prevent false activation, the wet system sits armed and ready should it need to be utilised to maximise the safety of all patrons. SmartMist commisioned by Exeter City Council

Execter Council recently commissioned SmartMist to provide a fire suppression system to St Sidwells Point – the UK’s first Passivhaus leisure centre.

The team installed our 3 cylinder stand alone water mist system which, in tune with the environmental aims, does not require any connection to either the water system or electrics of the club.

Since there has been a spate of fires, Insurance companies are starting to insist on mist suppression in all saunas. Extremely high temperatures in a timber cabin, I guess this is not surprising.

The stainless mist nozzles will emit a fine but powerful 360 degree water mist directly towards any fire below.
